If you would like to return a product because it differs from the one that you have ordered, or is defective, or you have buyer’s remorse, or the Product does not meet with your expectations, contact KZNknifemakers within 7 business days and follow this procedure:

  1. Quote your order number in the email and state the reason for wanting to return the product;
  2. Wait for an email from KZNKnifemakers with a “Goods Return Number” which gives you permission to send back the Product;
  3. When you have received this email, you must quote this number on a separate piece of paper and send the Product by courier or hand delivery to the KZNKnifemakers or the specified Third-Party in its original packaging that must not be damaged or destroyed and so that it is resalable.
  4. The Product must be securely wrapped to protect it against theft and damage. You must insure the parcel for the full retail value of the Product(s).

In case of an Incorrect Product:

  1. Upon receipt of the Product(s), KZNKnifemakers or the specified Third-Party will inspect the Product and its packaging and if it is resalable, KZNKnifemakers or the specified Third-Party will notify you and send you the correct Product.

In case the Product is Defective:

  1. Upon receipt of the Product(s), KZNKnifemakers or the specified Third-Party will inspect the Product and depending on the warranty of the Product, KZNKnifemakers or the specified Third-Party will notify you and in its discretion either send you a replacement Product or pass a refund including the shipping costs.
  2. We do not regard the following as defective;
    • faults resulting from normal wear and tear;
    • damage arising from negligence, user abuse or incorrect usage of the product;
    • damage arising from sea air corrosion;
    • damage arising from a failure to adequately care for the product;
    • damage arising from unauthorized alterations to the product; or
    • where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on the website and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit you.

In case you want to rely on Cooling Off:

  1. Upon receipt of the Product(s), KZNKnifemakers or the specified Third-Party will inspect the Product and depending on the warranty of the Product, KZNKnifemakers or the specified Third-Party will notify you and in its discretion, pass a refund within a maximum of 30 days. The costs of sending the Product back to KZNKnifemakers are for your account.

In case the Products do not Meet with your Expectations

  1. Upon receipt of the Product(s), KZNKnifemakers will inspect the Product and depending on the warranty of the Product, KZNKnifemakers will notify you and in its discretion, pass a refund within a maximum of 30 days. The costs of sending the Product back to KZNKnifemakers are for your account.

Un-returnable goods

If you ask us to provide you with custom goods, we may charge you any deposit or the full amount for the goods. You may not cancel an order for custom goods prior to delivery unless we allow this at our discretion. In this case, you will forfeit any deposit or amount already paid for the goods, and we may charge you an additional cancellation fee. The cancellation fee plus the amount forfeited will not be more than the full amount for the goods.

  • Due to these items having been;
    1. Made to the consumer’s specifications;
    2. Clearly personalized for you, your company or another individual;
    3. Goods that are made to, or customized to fit a specific item;

If you have returned a Product that has clearly been used or abused, or if the packaging has been damaged, KZNKnifemakers may refuse to pass a refund and it will notify you to collect the Product.
