The North Coast Knife Club can boast a number of renowned knifemakers in their ranks.
To keep to our commitment of raising the profiles of our local talent, KZNknifemakers is running a competition within the club for a “knife of the month” or KOTM for short. Every member has the opportunity to submit one or more of their works to their peers each calendar month. The winner will have their work featured on WhatsApp group profile pic, the club’s Facebook group, and of course on the kznknifemakers for the month.
We had a number of great submissions from the makers to choose from but there can only be one winner. It was a close race but Francois Massyn‘s engraved flipper edged it by a single vote over Anthony Topham, to claim the top spot.
Francois made a gorgeous IKBS flipper that features intricate engraving by Jan Hendrik Viljoen on the handle scales.
Congratulations to Francois (Richard Bay, KZN).
